The difference between precipitated silica and fumed silica

For white carbon black, the most important thing is its "reinforcing" effect. If it is used for the high-temperature sealing ring on the rocket, the high-temperature and tear resistance will be doubled; Plastic steel door and window seals commonly used in home decoration will become more tenacious with its "joining"; It can reduce the rolling resistance of tire and improve its wet skid resistance.

Silica

There are two main kinds of silica, what is the differences between precipitated silica?

Classification

Precipitated   silica

Fumed   silica

Manufacturing method   and raw materials

Sodium   silicate and sulfuric acid are usually used, and the reaction is carried out   in liquid-solid phase.

Silicon   tetrachloride, hydrogen and oxygen are usually used for high-temperature   combustion reaction in the gas-solid phase.

Main   technical indicators

Content 98%, water   content 4-8%, ignition loss ≤ 7%, specific surface area 100-200m2 / g, pH   value 5-8.

Purity above 99.8%   and water content less than 1% (collectively referred to as anhydrous silica).

Cost   and uses

The raw material   cost is low and the production process is easy to control. It is widely used   in rubber, tire, shoe making, toothpaste, feed, paint and other industries.

The investment in   environmental protection facilities is large and the preparation process is   complex. The products are mainly used in RTV, HTV silica gel products, toner,   paint and other industries.

Price

The   product is cheap

The   product price is high

Price development   trend

The product has   obvious price advantages, accounting for more than 90% in the domestic market.

The   application field is different from that of precipitated silica, with a share   of less than 10%.
