                                                Some Questions about Hydrophobic Silica

  1. Q:What is hydrophobic silica?

A:Hydrophobic silicon dioxide is generally a product after treatment. The product reacts with the appropriate compound through the silane group; the product is hydrophobic due to the surface bonding of methyl groups which are not hydrolyzed.

Unlike hydrophilic silica, hydrophobic silica cannot be wetted by water. Although hydrophobic silica is denser than water, it can float on the surface of water. After hydrophobicization, the amount of water absorbed will be greatly reduced compared with the original hydrophilic vapor phase silicon carbide.

By surface treatment of silica, its technical properties can be optimized in some specific application fields, which can effectively improve the rheological properties of many liquid polymer systems, especially in epoxy resin systems.

2.Q:What is the production flow of hydrophobic ppt silica?

A:The precipitated silica is produced by the reaction of liquid water glass and concentrated sulfuric         acid, filtered by the frame and filtered to the soluble substance below 1%. After filtering, the cake        is stirred into slurry, and the slurry is fully reacted with the modifier. The hydrophobic carbon                black masterbatch is obtained by spray drying, and then the final product is prepared by airflow          crushing.

3.Q:And how to manage the quality of your mass-produced products?

A:DCS control is adopted in the production process, and the quality is relatively stable. There are         intermediate control and ex-factory control for the mass production of finished products, and the       ex-factory quality of finished products is strictly controlled.
