How is the Precipitated Silica Applied in Toothpaste

As a filler, thickener and abradant, precipitated silica(JS-280) is widely applied in the transparent colorful toothpaste and the non- transparent toothpaste. By adding precipitated silica during processing, we can obtain the following advantages:
1, can make the toothpaste be more flexible, dispersible;
2, make the paste smooth, soft;
3, to have better abrasive function without hurting the tooth, and for transparent toothpaste, the precipitated silica is the only abradant can be used to have the transparent apperance;
4, can keep the medicated toothpaste, like the toothpaste with enzyme, toothpaste with chlorophyll ect., with stable and longer medical function;
5, can better match with the fluoride added in the toothpaste;
6, can avoid insoluble salt problem caused by using the calcium salt as the abradant.
