Characteristics of silicone rubber
Silicone rubber is a type of polydimethylsiloxane terminated with dimethyl silicone, which has many excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, etc. These excellent properties determine the wide application of silicone rubber in aviation, automotive, mechanical and other fields.

The function of silicon dioxide
In the preparation of silicone rubber, adding appropriate amount of silica can improve the stability and anti-aging properties of silicone rubber. Specifically, silica can serve the following purposes:
1). Enhance the physical properties of silicone rubber, such as increasing hardness and tensile strength;
2). Enhance the anti-aging performance of silicone rubber, such as anti-oxidation, UV resistance, etc;
3). Adjust the rheological properties of silicone rubber, such as improving viscosity and reducing fluidity.
Method of adding silica
Silicon dioxide in silicone rubber is usually added in the form of precipitation or drying, among which precipitation method is currently the most widely used addition method. The precipitation method can control the particle size and distribution of silica, thereby achieving precise control of the physical and rheological properties of silicone rubber.
In the preparation of silicone rubber, proper addition of silicon dioxide can improve the stability and anti-aging properties of silicone rubber, so that silicone rubber can play the best performance in various extreme environments.
